Quote: Can money pay for all the days I lived awake But half asleep?
Signature: when all you got to keep is strong Move along, move along like I know you do And even when your hope is gone Move along, move along just to make it through Move along
Full Name: Everett Dorian Mauve
Nickname: Ever, Eve or Evie
Age/Grade: 17/11th
Height: 5’11 (and rapidly growing)
Weight: 135, pretty skinny. He is very healthy, despite his weight, and has no eating problems whatsoever.
Birthplace: Virginia
Ethnicity: Caucasian
Gender: Male
Sexual Preference: Homosexual. However, Ever believes that if you love somebody, that doesn’t matter so he tries to keep an open mind. (He does not actively date girls, though)
Physical
General Appearance: Ever looks too young and too thin for his age and height, something he got from his father. This meshes well with his sweet personality and often draws people to him. Upon first glance, one might think that Ever is a tall girl, until they heard him speak. He appears to be quite friendly and happy on the outside and is. However deep-rooted his pain is inside, he is still a very happy and open boy and appears very approachable.
Predominant Feature: His pink lips. Ever has bright pink lips that stand out against his soft, pale skin. He often licks them, so they are always wet.
Hair: Naturally a very light blonde, which he bleaches out and highlights to nearly white. Ever sports a cute, sleek pixie cut with bangs, longer on the right side. His hair is very soft and silky and always well taken care of. His favourite thing about it is the shine.
Eyes: Shimmering, droopy eyes lined with luscious , long eyelashes. A quick glance would make it seem that Ever has dark brown or black eyes, but if one were to look closer, they would see that Ever actually has deep, dark blue eyes and when the light hits them, its like the sun dancing on the deep ocean.
Facial: A very young, rounded face for somebody of his age and height. Ever could pass for a 13-year-old if he were not so tall. His chin is small and his cheeks slightly rounded, but not fatty. His nose is a bit large, but not distracting and blends well with his pale skin when the light hits him nicely. His eyebrows are halved and what is there is slightly thick but not bushy, the hair being a bit thin. Most noticeable are his lips, described as his best feature. The colour draws attention first, luring others to look at him to then take in his full beauty.
Skin: Soft and very pale. Ever has always been very fair skinned, which is another feature he got from his father, and burns easily. Ever does not usually have skin problems. He does not often break out, does not have acne, and seldom peels if ever. (Unless he gets sun burned)
Distinguishing Marks: Scars on his legs. Ever has incision and indented pin scars on both legs due to lots of surgery. He has an occasional light scar on his back and arms, but none of them are nearly as “severe” as the ones on his legs, which are all white and slightly wrinkled.
Body: Ever is very lightweight, soft, and feminine in appearance. A small waist and protruding hips add to both his feminine features and his somewhat distracting thinness. Ever’s arms and legs are long but proportionate and his overall body type is quite elegant; Thin wrists and pretty hands dawned with long, elegant fingers, pretty feet, and no protruding veins in either. Ever is quite flat-chested, with little or no real muscle definition anywhere but in his arms, which are still quite thin. His bottom is rounded but still small and his legs are thin.
Clothing: Not overly picky about his clothing, Ever wears a variety of styles, ranging from dressy outfits to casual, comfortable clothing. Most of the time, Ever wears baggy jeans and sort of tight fitting, small shirts that show his stomach when he raises his arms. His favourite sneakers are brown and teal, suede and stylish.
He loves to wear his favourite soft and worn in hoodie, which belonged to his big brother, Raphael. This hoodie is a faded orange and yellow with a graffiti logo that reads “Get Destiny” on the front. On the back is a picture of a unique, anime style teenage boy standing in a protective pose in front of a peculiar looking girl. This is a short comic series that his brother wrote and illustrated on the internet.
Accessories: Ever likes to wear different accessories depending on what clothes he’s wearing that day. He wears bead bracelets, shell necklaces, and occasionally rings. There are two constants; A short wallet chain attached to a red and orange Get Destiny wallet, and a single silver hoop earring in his right ear with a garnet embedded in it.
Voice: Ever has a tender male voice that is very friendly. It is not too deep, but it is clear that it is the voice of a young man. He has a beautiful singing voice, but rarely has the chance to use it.
Physical Strengths: Strong arms and grip, fast runner, great stamina
Physical Weaknesses: Weak hearing and vision on his left side, high body temperature, weather aches in his right arm and worse ones in his legs, and his legs occasionally stiffen or the right one freezes up. His leg locking up can happen at bad times, such as when he is playing rough with friends. His leg will often lock up when inactive or heavy pressure is applied, in an already bent position.
Mental
Fears: Uncertainty. Ever is very stressed about not being sure of what he wishes to do with his education and when he is through with school. He fears looking into his own future. Other fears are: rats, geckos (he hates the chirping sound they make) and crossing the street alone.
What is the worst thing that could happen to them: Perhaps to be taken away from his foster family and put back with his parents. He would miss Chizuru terribly. Maybe even for him to disappoint the headmaster- that would be a very close second.
They’re most at ease, when: When wearing only his brother Raphael’s old hoodie at night, curled up with a book, comic or drawing pad and some music playing.
Most ill at ease, when: When around people that even remotely remind him of some former friends from his past.
Priorities: Family comes first. Then yourself. But education comes before favours!
Philosophy: Two things that he swears by: It never hurts to plan ahead, Keep your head up and keep going.
How they feel about themselves: Ever is content with who he is and would not ask to change anything, but he is not a vain creature. He accepts all of his faults and good points equally.
General Personality: As he appears; quite friendly and happy. Ever enjoys being kind to others and enjoys company. He loves making people laugh and to take the time to cheer up a person in need. He treasures those close to him and is a very loyal soul. Ever is easy to talk to, sweet, and always willing to listen to others when they don’t have a shoulder to cry on.
Inner Personality: Ever does not differ much on the inside. He aims to please and is very much affected by the feelings of those around him, specifically those who he has made happy in some way; Ever will be quite pleased with himself if he makes someone happy. He is also very sensitive. He is often hurt by what happened to him in his past and tries his best not to show it to groups of his friends, however when he is one on one with a friend, he will be more honest and expressive about what he is feeling, if it is negative. Ever is constantly thinking and working things out in his mind. His brain moves a mile a minute and he tends to try and be one step ahead of most situations, even if it is unneeded.
Soft Spot: Kittens, small canines, cute personalities, his friends, and people who have gone through a similar trauma to his own.
Talents: Can do even the hardest math (generally calculating extremely high numbers) in his head- no calculator, can speak fluent Japanese, and can sometimes memorize whole pages in books and recite them after the first read. Sillier talents include impressions of people and characters and tying cherry stems in knots with his tongue.
Inabilities: Ever seems to be incapable of controlling his emotions when it comes to what happened to him in his past. It always comes up and gets the better of him and he tends to become down and depressed when he feels he cannot properly get it off his chest. He is like this, to a lesser degree, with most anything in his life that is sad.
Current Goal/Purpose: To figure out his goal/purpose.. Currently Ever wants to be an important man in banking, or an architect. Both if possible. Ever is also looking forward to going through an adoption and becoming a true member of the Nagisa family.
How do they react in a crisis?: Fight or flight- Ever most often fights. While he is usually a bit nervous or even afraid, he certainly does not show it and does what needs to be done, almost naturally, to fix the situation. When it is all over, only then does he takes the time to express his panic.
Hobbies: Designing clothes, designing structures, listening to music, doodling, hanging out with friends and hanging out with his brother Chi, and working out other people‘s problems in his head.
Favourite Food: Anything mango/with mango in it
Favourite Song: Move Along by The All-America Rejects
Family: Biological Mother- Olga Mauve [45] Biological Father- Daniel Mauve [40] Biological Brother- Raphael Mauve [19] - Foster Mother- Nagisa Risa [38] Foster Father- Nagisa Haru [40] Foster Brother- Nagisa Chizuru [17]

History: “See, I’ve always really liked you..” The black-haired boy’s voice cooed to Ever as their hands explored each other’s bodies. So gentle and warm.
This was a far cry from the rough, angry beating Ever now received from that same boy and a group of five other friends. This was a set up. The cute boy with the ebony hair was in on it, told to hit on and kiss Ever to see if he would take the bait, revealing his homosexuality. What the boy did not report back was that he himself allowed Ever to perform certain sexual acts on him, because he knew that he would easily wind up on the other side of the beating. The six boys slung fists and nasty derogatory words to the defenseless Ever as a party raged on outside their locked room. Ever tried to protect himself, from his position on the floor, and with one lucky kick he managed to knock one assailant into two others and scrambled out of the room, into the main part of the house.
The air was hot and thick with bodies moving and dancing, kissing and fucking. There was a miasma of pot, perfume, beer and cheap alcohol in the air. For a bunch of high school kids, this party was intense. Ever stumbled and pushed his way through the crowd, getting shoved left and right and drawing attention to himself, but not the right kind.. The music pulsed with base as he tried to escape, like a monstrous heartbeat, and soon he felt the whole room laughing and chanting. “Fag-got! Fag-got! fag-got!” He fought his way to the front door and ran to the street without looking back. Maybe he should have. The six drunken boys piled into one of their cars to catch the nimble Ever. The frightened boy was certainly no match for a car and was plowed into, but not run over, to stop him in his tracks.
Each one of the boys that again descended upon him was once a friend. There was no way of knowing for sure what disturbed them, their dislike of homosexuals or their fear of their own sexuality being challenged or even revealed. Whatever it was, they felt that violence was the best way to express it and after what seemed like endless torture by fist and by weapon, the boys threw Ever into their car, closest to a door and they were off. Suddenly they were buds. Ever slouched bleeding in the arms of the ebon-haired boy and all he could feel was the warmth of his arms. Arms that were not so loving once before and yet so tender before that. “We’re gonna take you home, okay pal?” The driver of the car sounded so far away.. “Give us your phone, we’ll call your folks.” Another red-headed boy dug into Ever’s pocket and found the phone, tossing it to a dark-haired assailant in the front seat.
All the world seemed to slow and fade away as Ever felt the car roll to a stop. It felt a lot like falling.
“Come and get your little faggot, Mrs. Mauve! He’s waiting for you..”
x x x x That was two years ago, in the beginning of Ever’s freshmen year at a small high school in Virginia, after a short, uneventful life living “in the closet“. Over time he slowly remembered the rest of that night. Being thrown out of the car in his front lawn, broken and bleeding. His mother and father refusing to take him to the hospital out of sheer embarrassment. Screaming and slamming things from bed all night long to push his parents to finally call an ambulance the following afternoon. His parents coming under arrest, and being signed away under the state’s care.. From what he would hear a couple of months later, they would be deemed fit to continue to care for his older brother, Raphael, who was, in truth, the one who called the ambulance after returning home from a friend‘s house the following day of the incident.
Ever was carefully looked after by the state and spent most of his time in the hospital, where he was often told of a handful of loving families who wanted to accept him as a foster child. Ever didn’t want their pity. He wanted a family who could truely understand what he went though. This was the start of his strong and insatiable desire to be truely understood, by his own standards. This was how he came into contact with the Nagisa family from upstate New York.
With all of the bleeding heart families falling through on their pitiful need to help Ever, he received a personal letter from a Mr. Nagisa Haru, telling of his family and his own son, who was homosexual and of the same age, who also dealt with the harshness and dangers of uncaring, pig-headed individuals. “…We know what it means to be afraid for our child’s safety and the tragedy that is uncaring parents. We only offer the best for our own son, whether it is at home or at school. My wife and I have enrolled him in Oscar Wilde Academy, a school for children of alternative lifestyle. We would love to give you an encouraging and understanding environment as well…“
Ever was sold on that idea. After a surprise visit from husband, wife, and child (and a few weeks of investigation) Ever was signed into the care of the Nagisa family and flew to New York with them, where he would continue his therapy and hopefully go to that heavenly school. After a whole year of healing and physical therapy, Ever was finally tested academically and (thankfully) sent off to Oscar Wilde, doing his first year with arm braces. Meeting the headmaster personally was a bit intimidating for Ever, but somehow, he felt connected to the man. After telling him his story, Mr. Claironde seemed to gaze at the boy with pain in his eyes and he felt somehow that the headmaster wanted to tell him something, but never did. Ever would think about this day throughout his time at Wilde.. Perhaps it was that need of understanding that aches inside of Ever.
Currently, Ever does exceedingly well in all of his classes, makes many friends, and walks and runs without the need of braces. The Nagisa family has been looking into adopting Ever officially, before he turns eighteen and Chizuru and Ever call each other brothers. He has had no contact with his biological parents but speaks to his brother Raphael, now 19, quite often. While Ever has healed physically, he has many anxieties mentally. One of which is his constant wonder of the school’s ability to rehabilitate him and make him whole. He spent many years trying to hide himself; Pretending to be straight, dating girls, or just not opening up at all. He feels, after so many years spent living in hiding, can some expensive academy really be the fix-all to his life?
