PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS
General Appearance:
Hair: Kasumi has soft, tawny brown locks of hair that gently frames his face. It seems to be slightly longer in the front than it is in the back, having two strands of hair than fall far longer than any of the others- right around his chin. His is able to style it in different ways- whether it be in the bobbed style- or something a bit more on the wild side. He likes to play around with it. He does have a strange fascination with hair decorations, so you might see a clip in his hair- or perhaps an array of ribbons, whatever he feels like wearing. He has a tendency to play with his hair in public, liking it's soft, silky feel against his fingers. It's texture is not damaged or rough, but simply soft and elegant- if he grew it long, it would be full of curls, for when his hair gets long, it is naturally wavy.
Eyes: Hiss eyes are a dark blue color that seem empty and dull. The smile on his face never seems to reach those beautiful eyes anymore- it's as if he's lost everything, and in truth- he feels that way. The relfect the surface in them- but his eyes never show his emotions. Whether he's happy or sad. He has long, lustrous eyelashes that he uses when he is feeling frisky or in a seductive mood- and he does look somewhat like a porcelin doll with his empty eyes, pale skin, and soft brown hair. His eyebrows are thin, but not overly so, and he loves to wear brown eyeshadow to bring out the color of his eyes.
Facial: Kasumi's lips are pouty and innocent, as he is still youthful in appearance. He likes a simple peach gloss on them- and he cannot quite recall why that is. It's just a habit he is in, he supposes. He has no markings on his face, and his skin appears to be quite flawless. His eyes are wide and innocent- taking in the world around him, though they are dull and dead with a sense of maturity. Perhaps because he still looks so young, yet he is maturing rapidly is the reason for this. He is not quite so innocent to the world and it's cruelties anymore, and it shoes through his face rather than attitude.
Skin: With olive-toned skin, yet somehow combined with a natural pale color- he truly looks as if he is a porcelin doll. His skin is flawless and smooth- for he is used to using moisturizers to keep his skin soft. He does bruise easily, however, and it seems that it cannot be safe for him to get into fights- or get hurt for that matter. When he bleeds, the blood cannot stop without some blockage. Despite all of this, he only has one scar running across his pelvic region- he is not quite sure how he received it, but it makes him wonder.
Body: Being only 4'11", he is quite short, though not too much so for his heritege. He is lithe and wiry- almost sickly looking, but then again, not quite so. His has a typical boyish figure- despite the few curves of his thin waist line and slightly wider hips (which enable him to wear skirts properly). His arms are thin and weak, and his hands are small and feminin- well manicured nails at that, which he loves to paint. His feet are also small, enabling him to wear girls shoes. Kasumi has well-toned legs because he used to be on a running team, but he is quite uncoordinated and used to be on it mainly for the adrenelin rush he received.
Clothing: Kasumi definately has an interesting choice in clothing. His loves his school girl uniforms- as he has four different ones. His favorite one has a navy blue skirt with a white trim. The shirt tones his body to make it seem as if he has more prominent curves- it is long sleeved and is also navy blue with a white trim. It buttons up with white buttons as well. The summer shirt is white with navy-blue trim. His other mimic this, but one is marroon, another is dark green, and the last one is yellow. For these uniforms (Which he is required to wear the navy blue one to his school) he wears classy black buckle-shoes with knee-high socks. For casual attire, he chooses his bunny-hoodie which has very adorable bunny ears (Kaere gave it to him) - along with tight black capris. He'll wear blue jeans and a large white button-up shirt when he is longing, and in the summer it's cute anime-influenced tank tops with short skirts or blue jeans. In the spring, you might see him in the bunny-hoodie (he wears it year round) or nice, feminine shirts. On formal attire, he likes peach kimonos and dresses (particulary the short cocktail dresses)
Voice: Kasumi's voice is soft and delicate, almost mournful at times. His voice is what enables you to see his emotions- if he is upset, his voice will crack and become softer until it's almost inaudible. When he is happy, it becomes slightly louder, though there's not much of a difference. It makes him seem only a bit more feminin, but it does cause the illusion of permanent innocence and sadness. He is a good singer, though- his voice is alluring and carries a soothing melody with it.
Physical Strengths: Well, he is able to do the modern dancing, unlike ballroom dancing- he loves to dance, but he does trip over himself. He does have some powerful legs when he is able to land a hit on someone (which is rare). There isn't many physcial strengths, really. He is fairly weak, and he bleeds easily due to his hemophilia.
Weaknesses: He is too weak to push anyone away from him- physically. He is not coordinated and trips over himself frequently. He is unable to play video games due to this lack of hand-to eye coordination... or foot-to eye coordination when it comes to games like DDR andother games that require dancing or running. He cannot dance- for he would step on a person's foot or fall into them, and that would be extremely embarrassing for him.
More: Nothing much really... he bruises easily- but that was stated already.
MENTAL CHARACTERISTICS
Current Goal/Purpose: Kasumi wishes to remember all that he has forgotten- as he suffers from amnesia. He also wants to make some true friends and perhaps to fall inlove (again).
Talents: Ah yes, his talents. Kasumi is quite the little cook in the making- which he inherited from his mother. He loves preparing extravagent dishes for others and having others compliment him on his ability to cook. He's also a wonderful singer- and enjoys singing infront of an audience. He has won quite a few talent competitions with his voice alone. He doesn't have many talents- and the only other one would be standing in a position for a long period of time- he models on occassion for Seiko, and he finds that he enjoys it.
Inabilities: He cannot run long distances, fight off an attacker, or anything physical. He is very uncoordinated and quite clumsy- it's surprising he hasn't burnt himself while cooking. He has horrible drawing skills, and he can't dance to save his life. He is always having to get help with writing his reports because of his inability to express himself on paper.
Habits: He does have quite a few habits that some might think of as annoying- he always refers to another as -sama or -san, as he always wants to show respect for others. His voice tends to quiet down when he is faced with confrontation. He bites on his bottom lip when nervous, and may burst into tears at random intervals when he feels threatened.
Fears: Kasumi wishes he knew a logical reason for this fear- but he is terribly afraid of anytype of sexual contact aside from a kiss on the cheek- he will shy away if you try to hold his hand or kiss him on the lips- even hold him in your lab (unless you are on a could and he is leaning into you). He also is afraid of tight spaces and alleyways, though he's not quite sure why. He becomes uncomfortable if he tries to take a short-cut through one. He fears losing Seiko, the only true friend he has really made, and perhaps never being able to find out anything about his past. He is afraid of the dark and being left alone again.
General Personality: Kasumi is quiet and soft spoken- though he used to be very outgoing. He is reserved in all that he does, posing in an innocent demeanor. Many people who do not know him think of him as a sad child- for he always comes across as very sad and polite to others. He is shy and does not like to speak of his emotions. He also has very low self esteem and is hungry for any attention he gets- though he will never misbehave on purpose. He's obedient and takes direction easily. Those who know him from school comment on how quiet he is, and how he always tries to put a smile on his face- but there's always something fake about it.
The people that know him well- know how gentle he is and how easily scared and hurt he can become. He clings to those who are nice to him- always nice to them, for he will forever be loyal to them, unless they hurt him to the point he feels unwanted. Despite this, he is still shy around them and if one compliments him- his face will burn in a bright blush. He loves receiving affection from others, but he has a fear of becoming close. He never speaks up about his feelings- nor does he stand up for himself. He takes what he gets and is grateful for it.

Inner Personality: He really is a sad child. He blames himself for not knowing who he truly is- and he fears if he cannot find out, he may never know. He is already becoming Kasumi- and he knows that even if his past is revealed, he can never go back to being what he was- if he was any different. He will always be soft-spoken and shy, never the outgoing young boy he once was. He will always be sad for losing his memories- and part of him does not wish to know what happened to cause this forgetfulness, afraid that it will scar him for life.
More: He is very forgetful- he is rarely on time if not reminded- as he does have just a bit of brain damage left. He has to make a list to remember what it is he needs to do when he goes shopping. This is why he rarely goes alone... and why he doesn't do well on tests.
HISTORY
(Despite his lack to remember anything that is about to be written here, it is best for it to be recorded down as he uncovers the memories he has lost due to a horrific event that occured only a few weeks before Christmas time.)
Naomi Sachiko Minaka was born January 25, 1991. His parents were both middle class, so he grew up in a fairly normal environment. Herena, his mother, was a seamstress who sewed people's clothing for formal events- despite the amount she got paid for a single commission, she did not get enough commissions frequently enough, unless you count a girl's wedding ceremony and her need for a proper, personalized, one-of-a-kind kimono, or the Americanized students at their host schools who wished for a fancy dress for prom. His father was an artist, who painted many lovely pictures- he too was able to make a living off what he did.
Herena was 21 when she married Yuusuke, 24. They had been high-school sweethearts who had to separate when she wished to start her sewing classes and his family wished for him to go to the university. They remet by chance at the Ueno park and announced their marriage 12 days later. Herena was eager to become with child, and she soon did, giving birth to her first and only son, Naomi Sachiko Minaka. Naomi was a timid boy with a kind heart. Even growing up- he was always eager to help his mother with the kitchen duties and always played in her spare fabric for clothing. As he was only 4 years old, his parents thought nothing of his love for a female's clothing. He always wished to try on his mother's creation.
Naomi refused to wear the boy's uniform when he was to be sent to grade-school, insisting that he liked the girl's uniform better. Herena and Yuusuke, both very artistic and understanding, agreed and sent the uniform back, requesting that of a female. His first day of school was something he thought he'd always remember. The innocent smiles on the childrens faces as they played in the pysical education class, and the fact that he was accepted by everyone. Afterall, six year olds never looked at sex-appeal nor did the question why a boy wore a girl's dress.
His little sister, Keiko, was born when he was 6. Naomi loved to play house with her and his friends- she would always be his child, though, and he would be a female. His friends were accepting of his feminin ways, and even the females let him be the mother while she would be the father. When he was 8, he grew out of playing house and dress-up. He also started to get out of dressing exactly like a girl. He decided he wanted to be feminin- but he didn't wish to be a girl, no... not really. He started to wear items like tight capris and flashy tops out. He also got his long curls cut and straightened- so that he looked a bit more like a feminin boy.
Needless to say, his parents were a bit relieved at this change, and as soon as he entered junior high- he decided to try the boy's uniforms. However, they were too boxy and he settled on the girl's clothing. It was a very short navy blue, pleated skirt with a matching top (without the pleats). He also wore girl's shoes, but he was too afraid to wear high-heels. He realized that now, being twelve, boys were starting to look at him, as most mistook him for a girl, and shortly after entering junior high- he made his first best friend and a boyfriend. His boyfriend was in his last year of junior high, but he was very sweet to Naomi- with bright red hair and brown eyes, he was half Irish, but Naomi thought it was cute.
As Kaere flirted with Naomi, his best friend felt a little jealous- she also liked Kaere. Her name was Kikoya- and Naomi trusted her, but then again- he trusted almost everyone. Kikoya would never hurt Naomi, though- he was too sweet, so she kept her feelings to herself. Kaere and Naomi were inseperable, even as he left for highschool. The highschool was next to the junior high, and they saw each other every day. Naomi was head-over-heels for Kaere, and it was true that Kaere felt the same way. Herena and Yuusuke were happy for their son to have found love at such a young age. For their first anniversey, Kaere gave Naomi an adorable little bunny-hoodie which he still has to this day.
However, a tragedy soon struck that would tear Naomi away from them forever- on his way home from school one afternoon, he was carrying his luggage with him, as he had just gotten back from a camping trip with Kaere- one Kaere's friends (supposedly), grabbed him and pulled him into the alleyway. Naomi put up a fight against his attacker, though he found himself pressed against the wall, his skirt cut to shreds- his pelvic region blooding from where the knife had cut into the flesh and his female undergarments pulled to his ankles. Despite much begging and pleading- as it would be his virginity and he wanted to save it for Kaere- he was brutally raped, many bruises remained on his body. He screamed for help, but as soon as it became too destracting, the attacker rendered him unconscious by bashing his head against the brick wall.
When Naomi woke up, he could not remember anything that had happened- not even who he was, where he was from, or why he was there. The only thing he knew was that he was half-naked and cold. Dressing himself and ignoring the blood, he wandered around for quite a while. He met Seiko Yukio, a University student. When Seiko asked for his name, Naomi tried to remember. Despair filled him as he realized he couldn't remember it- but he came up with one: Kasumi Yasu Himotori. Seiko helped him enroll in a new school- Shibuya High, which was near the University itself and get a job in a local cafe. Because Kasumi had no where to go, Seiko gave him a home- which Kasumi feels forever grateful for. He feels as if Seiko is his older brother, and is very dear to him. He would be devastated if anything happened to him.
Kasumi's family, however, mourned their loss- Kaere's friend made up a story of how he had found Naomi's bleeding corpse in an alleyway- however, when the police searched for it, they found it gone- but the blood remained. They took samples and comfirmed it was Naomi's. The police suspected that Naomi had been killed by a Yakuza member, so the case was closed- Kaere, completely destroyed and feeling as if it was his fault for not walking his boyfriend home, committed suicide by shooting himself in the head. Sadly, Kasumi will never know.
