Random Junk

Yeah, just some random junk about the characters. XD Most are, in some way, tied with mythology because I love that kinda junk. >> Its all rather obscure stuff though.
Asmodeus: He's is based off a little legend in England that's really not well-known, but hey... whatever. There's a legend (or maybe an old wives' tale) that says if you see a big, black dog, you'll die soon. Local names for the phantom dogs, that I've heard so far, include "Old Shock", Devil's Dandy, Trash (wtf?),Barguest, and Padfoot. Yes... Padfoot, like in Harry Potter >> :: rolls his eyes :: .
The name, Asmodeus, comes from some demon, with no relation to the phantom dog.
Ifrit: heh... this one's kinda hard to explain, since there's a ton of different things I've read, all slightly different. Anyways, he's a djynn, which is spirits of vanished ancient people. Some are very malicious, and others are friendly as long as their treated well. The good djynn are said to be very beautiful people, while the bad are hideous half-human and half-animal creatures.
An Ifrit (Also spelled "efreet", "ifreet", or "afrit" for your futher confusion) is actually a type of djynn. They're depicted as being beautiful, but tempramental and very, very arrogant. >>
Yasuo:: A friend of the family used to come over at least once a year. He'd tell my sister and I all kinds of scary stories (I think he made them up as he went along...) and one of them went something like this: There was a man (incidentally, named Yasuo in one version of the story. : ) )in ancient times who was cursed and could only feed on humans. He went after small children and women, calling their names and luring them to him where he'd eat them. The Emporer found out about this man and called upon the strength of the gods to turn the man into a cat. So today, if you hear someone calling you're name in the middle of the night, you're not supposed to answer it or go towards it, because it's the cat man looking for another meal.
Mind you, the guy told us this same story several times, with the cat man having a different name each time and he sometimes confused it with other stories. >> Like "And then Kwai Mau chased after Little Red Riding Hood". XD Excuse me, ...WHAT?!

Errrm... I'll write some more some other time...
