GENERAL CHARACTER STATISTICS
Character Name: Kaleb Harris
Nicknames: None
Birthday: November 2nd
Birthplace: Right outside of the city
Gender: Male
Species/Race: Naga
Age: 17
Occupation/School: Homeschool
Status/Position: Middle Class
Sexual Preference: Homosexual.
More: His older brother is Kaden, though he is a naga and his brother is a human. (Kaleb was adopted when he was a baby. God only knows why humans wanted the naga boy. Perhaps they felt sorry for him.)
FAVORITES
Color: Dark Blue
Food: Sushi!
Music: Metal, Rock, foreign rock....Moi Dix Mois, Malice Mizer, Dir en grey....He likes offbeat stuff, too. His favorite song is Dare by the Gorillaz.
Piece of Reading Material: He doesn’t like reading books, but he loves magazines.
Television Show: South Park
PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS
Height: 6’1” (Well.....that’s counting his upright position that he’s normally in.) He’s actually about....13’.
Weight: Can’t really say.....(Honestly, the author here can’t find any averages on naga weight. ^_^’)
Hair: Kaleb has feathery blue hair. His hair was originally a brown color, but he wanted it dyed blue because brown was too plain for his tastes and blue is his favorite color. His hair is slightly frizzy and curls a bit at the ends. His hair is extremely thick and tousled. He doesn’t like to mess with it at all.
Eyes: One eye is a golden brown color, almost yellow and the other is a pale blue. How this happened, he’s not quite sure. His eyes are narrow and slanted, rather than a round shape, they’re more rectangular. Most of the time he glares at his brother with them or stares at the computer screen. He needs glasses, and has a pair, but never wears them.
General Appearance: Kaleb is a scrawny boy; he’s thin beyond all reason and has no strength in his arms at all. He might as well have toothpicks instead of arms. His shoulders are thin and rounded because of his bad posture. His chest is thin and you can see his ribs and hip bones. His tail takes up 10 feet of his height, while his human half only takes up 3. His tail is dark blue and over 3 feet around. This is where all of his strength lies. His tail and hip area is covered in long scars.
Kaleb had a slightly round face, but not so much that he looks cute. His jawline is angular and soft, rather than square and incredibly defined. His lips are very thin and small, as his perfectly straight nose. His eyebrows are shaped in a way that makes him always seem angry and his forehead is very high. He has no piercings or tattoos to speak of.
The naga boy normally wears a black t-shirt and a hoodie, sometimes even a winter coat since he can’t control his body temperature all the way. He’s normally either without a shirt or with several on because his brother gets angry and cranks the thermostat to an extreme when he goes to work. He pretty much always has his huge headphones on, drowning out his brother’s voice.
MENTAL CHARACTERISTICS
Current Goal/Purpose: To live on his own without anyone’s help. Especially his brother’s. He wants to hold his own job and make his own money. He wants to be a doctor, but is pretty sure that won’t happen. He also wouldn’t mind being a DJ. Talents: Music. He’s terribly good with music. He knows how to work with it and manipulate it to do what he wants on his computer. He also has the rhythm his brother lacks. He’s good at dancing, though singing isn’t his forte. He’s good with computers and he has a knack for cooking. (He had a whole year where he watched nothing but the cooking channel.)
Inabilities: He has no social skills. He hasn’t met anyone except his mother, father, brother, and their trusted doctor, who had to be called over when Kaleb got really sick. He couldn’t start a decent conversation to save his life. He also has a hard time controlling his temper once it’s released. Kaleb has trouble keeping his mouth shut, too. He’s also bad with animals. He likes them, he just....doesn’t seem to have any talent in handling them. He also has no sense of humor.
Fears: He’s afraid of having to live off of people for the rest of his life and have no future for himself. He’s afraid of himself and being alone. He hates being who and what he is and would give anything to change that. He’s tried talking to his doctor about surgery, but he’d be too frightened to have something that extensive done.
General Personality: Kaleb is a scowling, grumpy, pessimistic teenager. He’s normally in a bad mood and hasn’t smiled since he was seven. If you asked him, he would say he hates everything and the world would be better if everyone was dead. He always expects the worst and hides in his room all day. You can spot him on the computer, watching tv, or reading magazines with his headphones on. That’s all he does. All day. He tried sneaking out once, but his brother caught him and turned the thermostat to freezing when he left for work. Then the next day set it to burning to teach Kaleb a lesson. (The thermostat is in a locked room to which only Kaden has the key.)
Kaleb has a very bad temper. He doesn’t have a short fuse at all, but once it’s lit, he can be very vengeful and violent. Most of the time he just ignores the things that annoy him, but if he gets too annoyed, then BAM! There goes the house. But that’s only happened once. And the house was fine. Kaleb seems like an ungrateful, spoiled brat to everyone else, but really....he’s not.
The naga is a very...jealous thing on the inside. He would give anything to be in his brother’s place, rather than his own. He hates his oddity and everything about it. He has a serious self esteem issue. He hates living off of people. He hates not being able to be around others. But he’s scared of going out into the world.
Secret: Kaleb once met a girl and got into a relationship with her, though it never worked out, actually. He’s also tried to kill himself four times, but never could go through with it. And to lighten the mood a moment: he loves the song Baby Got Back. And back to the morbid bio. (I swear! It’s morbid compared to my usual stuff!)

History: Kaleb was born to a naga couple that lived underground, not far from a small town. But, unfortunately, there was lack of space and the couple was driven out by a stronger naga and his mate. The two nagas were killed and Kaleb was left out for the wolves to eat, but a human couple found him. Honestly, Kaleb wishes he had been eaten by the wolves.
Kaleb always came with difficulties. Even when he was a baby it was: What kind of diapers should he wear? Should he have something to cover his bottom half? Is he supposed to shed like that? Is he warm or cold blooded? Kaleb was a quiet child for the longest time. When he was school age, he stayed home, rather than what he wanted to do, which was go to school with his big brother.
When he was that age, though, he was naïve and oblivious. He never realized exactly what he was missing out on, or how different he was. When he was about 7, he asked his parents if he could play outside, and after a lot of hesitation, they said only for a half an hour. They thought...perhaps....people would be more accepting than they expected. But after about five minutes, people began to gather around his house and his parents grew worried, but no one had harmed him, so his parents didn’t interfere, hoping the people were just innocently curious. But since when have people been innocent? After a few minutes, a boy Kaleb’s age stepped forward and yanked on his tail, seeing if it was real. Not long after, screams erupted and people stepped forward, trying to see how it was attached and if it felt like a real snake. His parents ran out and dragged a crying Kaleb from the crowd and his mother ran him inside while his father tried to explain it. He ended up convincing them the tail was a robotic prototype that their son was trying out.
Kaleb hasn’t been let out of the house since, nor has he smiled. He realized people weren’t what he thought and there was no hope for him in their world. He hadn’t known he was THAT different. He had thought his species was more....popular and accepted. Kaleb got his first CD player and CDs that Christmas and has never let go of them, since.
When Kaleb turned ten, custody was given over to his brother and his life went to hell. His brother had been mean to him after he had gone to high school and it just got worse. Kaden was angry he wasn’t allowed to go to college because he had to take care of his brother, and trust me, Kaleb was angry, too.
At 13, Kaleb started getting worse. He didn’t just resent being a naga, he loathed it. At one point he tried cutting his tail off, but that just ended up in aches pains anyways. And having to wake the doctor up at 3 in the morning. When Kaden asked him why, Kaleb answered: “I don’t want to be a freak anymore; I want to be normal like you.” He promised he wouldn’t do it again, but whenever he would get mad he would start slicing off scales with a butcher knife he kept hidden in his room. But he never attempted to cut his tail off again. He did call the doctor when his brother was away at work and see if a surgery was possible, but the doctor didn’t think there was much he could do or anything to work from.
When he turned 15, he met a girl from next door when he tried to sneak out of the house. He immediately had a crush on her and she promised to visit him again at night when his brother was away. She visited him often and one night they kissed, but after that, she hadn’t appeared again and Kaleb snuck out, looking for her. Unfortunately, he did find her. Right in the middle of doing something with a strange man. And I mean....REALLY doing something. His brother had just finished his shift and caught him on the way home. Kaden was furious, mainly scared for his brother’s safety, but he never said so, and dragged him home. When he got home he attempted his first suicide, but couldn’t go through with it. His next two were stopped because of cowardice, but scarily enough, his latest was only stopped by his brother coming home early.
